Object Bend Parameter

I would like to see the ability to add curvature points to an object, and then give each individual point a numeric value that will act as the angle at which to bend the object.

This would be helpful in building objects like fences, railings, and anything else where an object could bend or curve in multiple places.

Thanks,

Hmmm... I guess I haven't ranted lately about how hard it is to do the physics for concave objects... people are asking for more! ;)

Just a few more adjustments to the physics engine and some of these pesky concave objects will cease to give me headaches. But first... must... work... harder.

A lot of work would also have to go into the UI for this feature unless...

How many residents here remember the "spiral" primitive we used to have? Now if we could only figure out how to add it back in without plowing the world under a dark cloud of lag. Something for me to think about.

I'm sorry I ask for hard things :)

I was thinking though, as a compromise, if I were able to cut angles at the ends of my parts, that might be a good compromise.

Let's say I have a 2x4 piece of wood and I strip it down to 1x1. I want to attach this piece to a curved piece I cut earlier. The problem is, the ends of the two pieces are cut flush, and therefore, when joining them it looks strange. If there were a way to cut angles on the ends of the wood (or on all surfaces of objects), then joining things together to make intricate pieces would look fantastic.

I would utterly love this... both ideas... (Im building my place and its horribly hard to do!) and Ben, Im too new to have seen the spiral prim, could you possibly post a picture of it?
