Forgive me if this seems out of place but i'm new!! I thought it may be a good idea to introduce forward sales on goods, at the moment once an item is bought it is non transferable, so when my new hairdo is admired or dress commented on, if i cant remember where i got the goods the original seller looses out! would it not be possible to re-sell the items but with the cost going directly to the creator? For example if I buy a dress for sl250 and a friend admires it, I could sell it to them with say sl249 going to the originator and 1sl for me! this would all need to be done automatically of course. I would be happy to do this if it were my goods. Hope i havent offended anyone, would love to hear what others think

My first thought is this:
Somebody I run across likes my prim hair made by Tami McCoy. They right click/purchase a copy.. that seems like a good deal for Tami. But Tami has an entire store with a complete product line. If I were Tami, I would rather have people directed to the store, where they're likely to purchase additional items, not just the hair piece.
Interesting idea, and this will be an interesting thread to watch.

I do agree, however surely the package sold on would include a landmark to the store anyway? Or if not this should be a condition of the sale. thanks for taking the time to answer. Rizzy

some products already allow this - e.g. dogs from the virtual kennel store...
Think it's a bit of a hack though as you need to give the object permission to take money from you...which is at best disconcerting!
I guess it goes:
1. Admirer pays object correct amount 2. Object passes money to you 3. Object takes %age of money from you and fwds to creator, who then sends new object to admirer...
You can get donation boxes that also give you commission for hosting them...do they work in the same way?
