Cutting prims will be normal shape prims (and also sculpted). When you drag them over one of your items in-world, it will cut in to it. The cut will be the size and shape of the cutting prim. Your cutting prims will only work on your items, not other avatars', so residents cannot cut in to other people's work. Sculpted cutting prims will work exactly like normal sculpted prims, except for the cutting function. LINK TO VOTE : http://secondlife.com/vote/Prop #: 3356

1) /vote is dead. Use jira (jira.secondlife.com) 2) This is Yet Another Request for Constructive Solid Geometry. Do a forum search for CSG or "constructive solid geometry" I'm sure you'll find at least two other threads. (I'm now going to refer to this in future threads as YARFCSG) 3) LL has already nono-ed CSG due to several issues, such as two spheres of the same size offset by ~.01m, one of which "cuts out" the other. It renders a mesh that is very complicated and difficult for the client to render. 4) We have sculpies, go get any one of a number of FREE 3D modeling programs ( http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Sculpted_Prims:_3d_Software_Guide) and do your CSG there and then make a sculpt prim from the result.
