It's a huge goal of mine to be able to own a sim. A lot of people have ideas on how they would run it but its a huge investment. Why is it that only people that own a regular sim can buy voids, also known as Low Prim Sims?
It seems like it would be a wonderful stepping stone in learning how to handle a regular sized sim. Also for those that would like to just own their own private space away from the mainland it would give residents yet another option. Consider it as a medium point between standard land ownership and full on Sim ownership.
Maybe Linden Labs could concider making it possible for people to own a Void without having to own a regular sim first.
P.S. I really REALLY wanted to do this as a proposal but I'm being good and bringing it to forum first. Tee hee.

i think LL sell em by pack of 4 for a few reasons:
--the 4 void sims share the same cpu core --a cheap offer would make the sim demands skyrocket and they would have problems to keep up with the demand (they already have problems with normal sims, so in a way they are limiting private sims to "rich" residents).

Yeah, LL can't really do it for the technical side, could be something worth investigating for private sellers. With a private seller you also have the advantage that some of them might police the sims more carefully, so if one void sim keeps crashing all the other ones then they can request a 'fine' or something and make them stop (as it obviously isn't fair to the other three sim owners to have theirs crash because one has a billion scripts and is always full).
