I don't know about the rest of you folks, but I'd love to be asked if I want a notecard for the day's events when I first log on. Browsing runs slowly while I have SL up, and I tend to log on to SL as soon as I get on. It would just be an alternative to either browsing the website, waiting for a Linden to IM an announcement, or going to check out the schedule.
I just think I've missed events cause I logged after the Linden mass IM to say the event has started.
Anyone else for this?

I think this is a great idea too!
I would like to have a way to turn it on and off, though, so I am not asked if I want an event notecard every time I log in. A menu option for event notecards would be great!
It would need to have a way to see if you have been given the card already (or if it's in your inventory) so you don't download a card more than once per day. (:
