Hmm... I can't believe we don't already have this, but we need a sandbox with some water in it. either a new one or a lake in an existing box. Pretty please ?

Well, though not exactly what you're looking for, there is the Boat Rezzing Area in Fame, approx coords 241,218. This is apparently a well-kept secret, since most people think the only rezzing area in those sims is next to Busy Ben's.
That will at least give rezzing access to a large body of water for testing, while only a short distance to Goguen Sandbox for tweaking (or just edit in-place).

Perhaps one of the existing vehicle sims near Cordova could be converted to a full sandbox sim (can I coin the phrase Waterbox?). Being close to Cordova is a good thing so you can flit between the boxes - keeps the inspiration going and the activity high! Now if only we could rename it to say, I dunno, Timeless Waterbox? lol Teacher: Timeless, this is not very humble behaviour. Must try harder. See me in my office.

That would be nice

I totally agree, a water sandbox(well, wet sand ) would be really nice. Maybe make some of those useless water sims (north of Abbots) Build-perm and clear on a regular basis like regular sandboxs? P.S. sorry for bringing back this (not so old, some days but it still was on 3rd-4rth page) thread, but it was that, create a new one or take a Linden as an hostage.

From: Faerell Stern create a new one or take a Linden as an hostage. Philip is now a hostage - locked him up at Linden Labs and can only go on holiday or to go out for a pizza when the water box magically appears on the map. I have so many ideas for water things.

Rausch has water and access to the big lakes. Yes, you have to deal with lamers like me testing in-development weapons, but it's usually pretty empty.

True, but we want a whole water sim as a sandbox. However, I'm getting a sinking feeling like it's not going to happen, so this will be my last post in this thread.

I Endorse this Idea
Althou I have a modification to add to this Idea... make it a Deep Water Sim
Becouse not all water builds are on the surface.
and Im talkin DEEP and I know this can be done becouse the sim "Duck" has deep water but I imagine that it can be deeper...
Rise the water tables as high as they can go and lower the land tables as far as thet can go

heh I always kinda wondered how most of the water in SL never approached a depth much deeper than a shallow lake

waterbox added!
04-22-2005 15:39
There is a new waterbox at Uzume (114, 117)
Ok, its very small at 352 sq. m, and supports only 80 objects, but for those of you who are looking for a waterbox, this might be your place to play. The land is dropped to the lowest point I can get it, so look for a hole in the ocean floor. Scripting is allowed for now. I haven't even added a sign on the land saying that its a sandbox, because I wanted to save the prim.
If I get excessive complaints about pushes, kills, or whatever else, I'll turn scripting off.
And if this proves to be really popular, you bet I'll get a bigger place!
have fun!

Thanks guys. I spoke to some avies and we like the social aspect of sandboxes, and we'd rather have a (full sim) waterbox right next to Cordova.
