I would definelty like to be able to texture my land. Even if it's just a range of natrual textures, fine. I really need to make a desert type thing going on, and I obviously can't plummet the ground down to that level.

I do understand how bad it would be if suddenly peoples land was purple and yellow, so I take that back: Defineltly only let us select out of a pallete of natrual textures. And probobly the selection should change depending on the height of the land. Thank you!

... i like this refinement... maybe have it server based, so that there might be some servers where anything goes?

what'd be real cool is to have it where each land owner can control their own land's texture, within a range of natural palettes (grassland, desert, tundra, etc), but the outer 2m of the land being edited would be dedicated to "blending" into the adjacent land. so if i want snow on my land, and my neighbor wants desert, you don't have snowdrifts piled right up against his sand. instead, the snow would taper off the last 2m to dry ground, and then from 0m-2m on his side of the property line would fade into desert sand.

i don't know how doable this would be, but i think it would allow for some flexibility, without being too bizarre-looking. obviously, if two people on adjacent parcels of land both want one land type (i.e. desert), it would continue across the property line uninterrupted.

i also like the idea of different land flexibility in different sims. some sims, you might be limited to one or two land types, and in others, you might be able to choose from any of the land types.

maybe they could make some new servers with different climates, like snow and desert, etc. so the whole area is the same.
