would it be possible to put up some kind of invisible barrier around the sandbox so objects rezzed or created there can't pass thru? this would prevent...oh just for example....200 meter tall towers of physics objects tumbling into Slate and Rose every five minutes.
just a suggestion.

I agree, only because it's harder to build slides with ways to keep things from going into other sims... And It's hard to find my rubble in all of those houses... (and underwater)... what are you people thinking?? psh...

i agree too. i think it doesn't help also that the sim is elevated above the neighboring sims.

There is a status flag available called STATUS_SANDBOX which controls whether objects can cross sim boundries, but unfortunatly it also limits them to 20m from creation point. If the flag were adjusted to just preventing the crossing of sim borders, and it could be auto-set and locked on all objects created in the SandBox I think that would work. Most of the time.
Oh and this is my 1,000th post. I think I talk too much.

Congratulations Ama on your 1,000th post. You should get a bonus on your next stipend day!!
AND what he posts is invariably interesting as opposed to some of our "giggly" remarks on some of the other threads Damiana.

no i'm pretty sure DIE_AT_EDGE makes it die only when it goes completely off world, not just over any border. I like Ama's suggestion about changing the sandbox status flag. oh and congrats Ama.

You could also add some flavor of the die script in the pieces/objects/whatever you make in the sandbox.
Even if it is set to die in 5 to 10 mins for all physical pieces at least they will clean themselves up. I know that was one main resaon for leaving Rose for Lyn and I. the litter lol, for a while it was ok, then it got worse, then add that to the chaos that happened in Rose b4 it got peacfull lol.

Heartily agree with Sandbox constraints... I think some type of object constraint or status would be better than just lowering the land, because people could easily build ramps that could propel objects out the sim border. And Ama... congrats! You can't tell me I'm a chatterbox anymore, because from the looks of it you way surpass me...

Living in Slate next to the sandbox is so cool...It is like living next to a nuclear test site...what more could you ask for in a home?
