How about a option added for individual folders to be sorted, i.e. I right click a folder and from that pop up menu I'd select "Sort By Name" and everything in that folder only would be sorted by name.
Why? Well I want my calling cards sorted by name, but my objects I'd like to be kept by date. I imagine there are other cases where individual folder sorting would be needed too.
This could all be added along with the other expansions of Inventory suggestions. Such as jumping to something by letter press, a Find option, options for Auto Close Folders On Inventory Exit, Calling Card expansions with folder group based options (online/offline notifications), and now added individual folder sorting.

Sort by: - Name - Date - Type (maybe, if you want to keep different types in the same folder)
--- basically same as Explorer.
I support all Oz's suggestions. If you want this individual sort thing, I assume you want it to stick when the folder closes.

I endorse this product and / or service.
I'm also hoping that we'll be able to move multiple selected items in our inventory with one drag & drop action someday =D
