I for one would like the ability to edit the land without it sloping, giving me straight edges. This would be helpful for cutting into hills and such and making the homes and shops look more apart of the land.
If it could be one of the toggles availible to players in the edit land tab that would be great.

I find editing land a huge pain. Especially raising it above water. It would also be ncie if you could texture the land.....and say have desert, or grass.

may I say BETA for the textures! great idea but don't hold your breath. De Ro come see me and i'll show you how... you can get like 80 - 85 deg slope but never a 90.

Suggestion for land editing tools
01-28-2003 18:50
After I edit land, it usually ends up being more rugged than I would like it to be. I think it would be helpful to have two more tools--one for making land smoother and one for making it more rugged. These would not change the overall slope or elevation of the land.

Also, given the way land editing works now, it is pretty much unpossible to do any land editing via a scripted object, unless what your after is random spiky terrian. llSetGroundHeight would truly be a boon to humainty.
