Just a silly little idea I had the other day:

When someone types out a web address in chat or IM (http://whatever.com) - have the option for it to display as a clickable link which will open your web browser of choice to that page. Notice I said option though... make it a chat preference checkbox - because I know some won't like it.

Just think it might be useful as now it requires cut-and-pasting from the chat / IM history to get the exact URL especially if its a long complicated one.

Yeah I'm lazy... :)

I think this should be done, wether its an option or not. Pretty much everything has clickable links, chat history should too.

Also in Note Cards it might be nice if hypertext links were clickable.

I support this product and/or service.

(I think it's a good idea, too.)

(Glad I thought of it. ;) )

Call me a cynic, but I foresee this being an excellent mechanism to have the porn-slingers, body-part enlargement hawkers, mortgage refinanciers and other spamsters to set up URL chatboxes in world. Ugh. And people will click them, double ugh.

Well that would be a form of advertisement and most likely be a violation of the TOS and most likely would get Abuse Reported and the owner Neg-Rated.

:)

We have alot of methods to ignore objects and people, so I doubt it would be as much of a problem.
