This is bound to been mentioned before, probably more than once, but why do flexiprims have to move?
Why not let us move the free end and lock its position, giving us a curved shape that doesn't move?

I can see this being a useful feature, but only when combined with the ability to control the number of bend points in a flexi... If memory serves, bend points are autimatically added at around 0.2m intervals; and most of the ones I use are so short they don't kink at all. Others may have one or two in toto, but not enough to make a huge difference to what otherwise constitutes a straight prim.
An additional level of control of this flexing would be a great asset, and if introduced, the ability to lock them would also be a bonus...

Have you tried setting wind to 0 and using the force vectors to control the bend? Should work for a none moving object.

I would rather have a mechanism to bend the path of an object independently of whether the object is flexy or not.
