It's annoying to see what was a first land parcel now simply not for sale when someone owns the land all around it.
For example. Charissa 78,24,97 The guy has managed to buy up lots all around the parcel, but can't buy that last piece since it was "First land".
The auction is also just as useless.
I propose that LL use a decreasing price system where they start out high and lower the land price each month.
Or maybe they could make a system where you can buy neighboring parcels for a set price per meter.
I realize that each Sim needs some reserved land parcels, but I haven't seen any way to organize which ones are reserved.
--- I would trade the land parcel I have in the SW corner for a linden road. PS: I already have enough parcels to get from 0,0 to 40,113,95 in Charissa

Are you referring to First Land that was abandoned back to Gov. Linden?
Theoretically, you are supposed to be able to email LL support to buy a small abandoned land parcel that is adjacent to your land. I've inquired about a couple of parcels multiple times within the past two weeks - one of them cuts right through some of the land I own - but have received no response. Nothing. At. All. Would be nice if they would at least tell me 'no.'
They were putting other small abandoned land parcels up for sale at $1/sq.m. and the landbots were grabbing those up. Don't know if that's still the case. The parcels larger than 512 go up for auction.

That used to be possible, and I've bought a few road-margin parcels that way, but the last request I made for it (for a 4 square meter advertising parcel that's gone back to Governor Linden) has been lost in the ether.

I know one 512sq parcel where the neighbor owns a U shaped parcel around it and she can't buy the piece.
I am trying to create a linden road in Charissa and it's frustrating since I don't know if LL will even take over the land if I manage to create the road.

I see no need for a road in Charissa what is the plan for this road? I have lived in Charissa since it was fields of First Land was never an issue of a road. Most vehicles fly anyway and are you wanting to attract commerce to your land? I really do not understand.

I'm so happy I could cry. LL just sold me that 512 plot that was cutting through some of my other land. It took a few weeks - but they did it.
Don't give up all hope yet, folks. If you have a legit reason to ask them to sell you the land, you just might get it if you're patient and persistent.

I have a dream...

I see roads as important since as I understand it Sim's have problems when they are completely full of prims. I am also trying to create a test road to demonstrate an automatic vehicle system. https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LSL_Protocol/AutoBahnI see the roads as a way to tour SL without running into ban lines or over zealous security scripts.
