Don't know how many times I've sent a PM and watched as it sits unnoticed for several days (receiver being on many times during) and maybe never read at all. I can see how its easy to overlook as its integrated into the board itself.

If there is a way to add a pop up announcement feature alerting folks to new PMs, that would be great, thanks.

There is but its a per user setting - you have to set it for yourself whether you want pop ups on IMs or not.

Also you can use tracking in your PM section to see if the person looked at your PM yet or not.

I looked into it and found the following:

Pop up a box when you receive a Private Message?
This will pop up a small warning box when you receive a Private Message asking whether you want to view the message.

====

The box has been checked yes the whole time and I've not had any pop ups while online or when relogging back into the message boards. Is this a bug?

I have it set to email me on new PM's, thats really the only way I notice them.

If you have it checked and not seeing them, popup blocking in your web browser is probably eating them.

Pop Up announcements for PMs

Uhm, why would you need a pop-up announcement for PMS? Don't women know when this is happening? I would think the bloating and cramping would be a sure giveaway. Not to mention the homicidal tendencies. Uhm, why are all you ladies looking at me like that?
