Proposal for new Reward system

**First off**
Sorry for the cut and paste feel of this post as it has it's origins in a reply I made in the Feature Feedback section and Philip suggested I make a new topic out of it. Unfortunately I don't have much time today to rework it, so please excuse the roughness of it.

OK, well with the recent changes in the tax system, the trial accounts and the idea of a Mentor "job" all bouncing around I wanted to know how the community felt about an idea I got from Ama Omega's post. The exact post and a few more notes follow:

"Playing off the Good Samaritan Ticket idea, rather than the Lindens handing them out, I'd let each player get a "book" of them at each pay period. The tickets are "given" without the receivers knowledge in reward for anything the owner likes, good personality, nice build, helping out etc, and the tickets are totaled for a bonus at the end of each pay period.

The number of available tickets for any given week regenerates slowly, as to stop players from dumping their reserve on someone right before the next batch comes.

This idea would work in tandem with the current ratings and vote/visit booths as yet another way to foster cooperation and general friendliness. Say someone helps me figure out a problem with a script I'm working on... bingo! They get some of my tickets, say it was something I was really racking my brain over, they get more. I see a build I like -> click on it to get a "give tickets" option in the pie menu, help a Noobi, bingo more tickets etc etc.

The major plus of this over simple ratings is once I rate someone all's done and done, while with the tickets, I can keep giving positive reinforcement over and over."

A few notes on the above,

1) All rewards should be anonymous, the number of points received each week would be displayed, but exactly who gave them out would not be disclosed.

2) Again, I'd like to stress that this would not have to replace any of the existing reward systems, but be an extra layer.

3) I really want to stress that, should it be implemented, I would like to see the ability to give points to builders from the pie menu and a similar system for scripters. Allowing builders/scripters to be rewarded without ever being met is a very important step towards closing the current gap between the "socialites" and the "hermits."

Anyhow, again, sorry for the style of the post, but please let me know what you all think.

I like the idea as long as the tickets are limited and the amount paid.

How much would be a fair amount for a ticket to pay? How many should a person get a week / how fast should they regenerate? The two are closely tied.

Which is better lots of tickets to give out worth less, or less tickets worth more?

I think I would like tickets that regenerated at 1 / 12hrs (2 per RL day) and capped at 10 tickets. If they are worth $10 each it means any one person could give out $100 a week. That isn't really very much, but with as many people as there are it might work. I think $25 a ticket may be nice, be able to give $250 a week away and the reward is more than 1 prim per ticket. Somewhere in that range I think.
