HI there

It would be great if there was a way to hear and see if a new IM is being sent by an individual or a group. Usually private IMs, especially those from friends, are much more important than group messages, which many times contain messages from people you don't even know. On the other hand, if you own a group, the group messages should be highlighted. An option to set specific text colors for these message types could also help.

if the IMs are from a group, the group name is shown at the bottom of the IM tab. If the IMs are from an individual, That AV's name is shown at the bottom of the IM tab. Seems pretty clear cut to me.

In the general window (where the world is) there is no difference. It just says: "IM: Jane Doe: Hello!" and plays the IM noise.

True. That's why I don't rely on that. So you have a good point. It should say where the IM is originating from. :)

Sounds like a great idea :)
