Some kind of avatar/clothing texture preview option?

Right - apparently this has cropped up before and been shot down, but I'm gonna propose it anyway :)

What I would _really_ like (and I suspect many av-skinners and clothing makers would too) would be an option in the avatar Appearance menu to preview local (i.e. user-created stored on HDD) textures on the current avatar. No uploads needed, just all done client-side.

I think that'd remove part of the problem of clothing and av skinning where you need to spend possibly a not-inconsequential sum of money to upload a good texture, without even knowing if it's going to look right this time.

Plus it'll mean that more people will be freer to do their own creative work on avs and clothing, which I see as a good thing. :)

Any comments/thoughts anyone?

I agree, this would help greatly. $10 isn't much, but its still something, and I'd like to not spend as much money as possible. I second this suggestion :D

Not to mention the fact that this would keep their servers from filling with crap textures that no one will ever use...
