I was flying over someones property when suddenly my airship got returned right out from under me. Users have NO RIGHT to kick me out of MY OWN creation! I can see it if I left my avatar sitting there attached to it while I got to the bathroom, but that's what "You have been logged out for inactivity" is for. THEN your script can return whatever it wants. How about simply nudging the object out with llPushObject, short of putting up a barrier that I'll simply bounce off of. - Jolan

From: Jolan Nolan Users have NO RIGHT to kick me out of MY OWN creation! Think of it from the land owner's perspective: User have NO RIGHT to leave objects over MY LAND! It's understandable that some huge plots have short auto-return times, thus in the time it takes to fly over them your item may be auto-returned. I've had people fly space-ships onto my land though, huge things that take up the entire prim allowance of the plot causing MY items to stop working. I have a room-rezzer that allows me to rez prim-heavy areas only when they are needed, e.g inside of my home, demo areas and such, if my land is already full because of someone else's object(s) then suddenly these things break with no reliable way to recover from it. I don't see any suggestion so I'll pose some thoughts instead: Now, I know that the object-entry feature ignores objects that are being sat on, so someone in a vehicle can pass over a plot that prevents object entry without penalty. Is this the same for auto-return? ie if I am on a vehicle then I can fly/drive/whatever it over that parcel without it being returned? If not then this should be the case. It wouldn't help for big, multi-part vehicles as there's no real way to determine they are such, since to the simulator they are indistinguishable from other forms of litter on my land. However it would help regular vehicles like planes/cars etc. In addition, again if it isn't already the case, then vehicles with an occupant should not count towards a parcel's prim limit. If the occupants get off/out then it would, if it pushed the parcel over it's prim-limit then the vehicle would be immediately returned.

Vehicles, chairs, and whatevers are NOT subject to autoreturn as longas you are seated on it. For this reason, I have half a sim set to 1 minute autoreturn. You can whip out your boat or beach blanket, hop on, and enjoy yourself. At the same time, junk is being removed at highest possible speed.
At least, this is what happens when the servers are running without lag and overload. When things get overloaded - all rules for vehicles and similar go out the window - and lately, that's just about always.

I may have stayed too long when I smacked into a 'No Entry' wall surrounding their neibour's yard, but the ship had less than 30 prims and it was just me sitting in it.

From: Ariya Draken Attachments use no prims. Standard vehicles DO... There is a 10% "surplus" in every sim that vehicles (or in fact any prims that have an avatar sitting on them) are supposed to be counted against. They are NOT supposed to count against the quota of the parcel they are in. This *used to work* - your vehicle was never returned until you stood up from it - but as documented in the thread "A short flight..." that's apparently no longer true. I am bug-reporting this every time I run into it, and I recommend everyone else do the same.
