I would like to see a drop down menu whenever you click on the SL Time... The menu would include various times around the globe. Not all SLer's live in San Francisco.

I've seen this issue over and over in the forums.

For instance...I run a photograhic studio in SL. Someone around the other side of the globe wants a photoshoot of their Avatar. Trying to set up a time is hard enough. Let alone trying to figure out what time is it there...or here...or anywhere.

OR this could be added to the Avetar's Pie menu to show their Local time (which could be taken from their PC System Clock)

They already know what time it is by looking at the bottom of their screen. What I would like is a way to check what time it is locally for another av. I guess that would give out locality info and might be a privacy breach.

All these suggestions about time zones for everyone being fed to your computer is just another impact on the already overloaded servers and network. Just have your customer relate to SL time.........the new Greenwich Mean Time Zone. :)

SL time means nothing to most people, that's the whole problem.

And it can get incredibly confusing as people try to do calculations in their heads
and allow for daylight savings and such.

Relating to Grenwich time is as bad as relating to SL time...
and forget Swatch internet time, no one can relate to that either.

There needs to be, not a drop down menu, just a smart time converter.

If I'm having an event at my pub, I write a notice.

In the side is a small calender, where I can click the date and type in the time.

Then send.

Since everyone has a viewer on their own computer, then the viewer checks the time
against the users own internal clock and does the conversion, the converter knows the
location of the sender and does not need to display it, nor does the sender have to type
in their location as their windowsxp etc already knows the timezone.

SLs own computers don't have to do anything to the time at all, just transfer the message
to the group as usual.

The calender function should be at the side of the IM box too, but make it selectable so
that if there are friends from the same timezone, and they don't need it, they don't have
to have it.

Yes do it, get rid of SLT, it's useless.
