Ya know how when you zoom out from land the texture fades to a color? Well can we increase and decrease the distance at which that happens please? Some computers can handle it being farther away I think.

Or could we add a color change. I could save on my items, and taxes if I could create a nice lawn look. At the moment the only we to get this effect is to lay prims down and add texure

I believe (I could be mistaken, it wouldn't be the first time) that he's referring to the distance at which the individual client quits rendering textures. Not which textures are rendered.

And Darwin, I don't think the client actually quits rendering the textures. What you're seeing is called "mip-mapping." It's still a texture, it's just a smaller texture with a lot of details removed, since you can't see the details at great distance, anyway.

Yes it is mip-dumping, and it's quite local, that's why I wanted something for the higher computers :)

The distance at which textures are rendered are also local, but I think it might be a lot harder to impliment something to do that since it depends on bandwidth so.
