Currently in the appearance panel we have these sliders which are incredibly difficult to achieve a precise color with, I would love to see a simple color picker (windows common dialog color picker would be just perfect) replace those sliders. Is there any particular reason this couldnt be done?

Skin tone is hard to nail down with the appearance sliders. You can just enter the number value in steps, thats one way to be precise and make sure you dont miss a tint. Another interesting way is to apply color as a tattoo. Its not ideal, but it can make for some interesting results.

It makes sense to me. In fact, we should have the option of using the OS native colour picker for skin colour, makeup colours, freckle colour, eye colour, hair colour, eyebrow colour (and make eybrow colour different from that of the hair...)

You get the idea. It's just an all-around good idea.

those sliders are just too clunky.. a color picker box would be SO much easier. we have it for picking a texture color, why not for appearance?

I'd like a color picker too.
I save right away any tints I like so that I don't lose them. :)
Currently I'm a shade of light purple.

The all over body tattoos work well for applying more unique colorations all over.

Good call, Neil. This would be nice even for nothing more than consistency.

More range with the makeup and polish color sliders.

I want electric blue nails, dern it. :)

Other than that minor minor whinge, I like the idea of using the native OS color pickers for appearance.
