For the love of GOD, I've been wanting this one since Beta.

Please! PLEEEAAASEE! You put in llDetectedScale, llDetectedVel, llDetectedKey, Name, Owner- Everything llGet has, except mass!

Please :(

EDIT: Yes, I know this one has been asked for before.

I dont need to use it on people, but HELL YEAH! I want this!
It would bring us one step closer to being able to code a game like Pontifex in SL :)

I'd love to have llDetectedMass... I've been working on making the Gravity Gun (yes, from Half-Life 2), but I have no way of determining exactly how much of a push every object needs. Avatars were simple, as there's a constant around .94 between avatar height and avatar mass, but objects are still horribly unreliable to pick up.

My current method for estimating mass involves taking the bounding box and estimating mass from that, but that assumes you're picking up a cube (works very reliably on them), which most of the time I am not. For picking up things like spheres or torii or complex objects, I need to specify a density (how much of the bounding box is filled) to the gravgun in order to not ghost things.

I believe this is the reason we will never get this feature. It is only good for weapons.

Wrong. I've been wishing for this for things like my lift tubes -- if I guess wrong about the mass of the avatar being lifted, they either don't go anywhere, or get lofted into orbit.
