It would be really helpful to add another part to the search feature, to search for items e.g sounds,animations,objects etc. It would be great for shopping and you could add in a little button (like the join now one on the group search) to buy it now if it is for sale. Mainly this would be useful for finding unusual items without having to go looking through loads of shops (plus i really want a 'talk to the hand cos the face aint listening' pose  ) |

Having to keep the data for all the SL items, I'm sure the server would lag twice as much. I do agree that searching for something specific can be hard. I suggest you visit slboutique.com and slexchange.com even if you don't want to buy things from websites, you can always look who the creator is, then you search for the creator in SL, usually in their profile they will tell you where their shop is.
This doesn't always help, but it doesn't put any pressure on the server either.
