How many of you have created something, wanted to move/edit/take it as a whole, then went through the excrutiating process of trying to link everything together only to miss one or two pieces... then move/edit/take the thing and immediately start cursing out the thing because now you have to pull out the mass that you've moved/edited/taken and realign the whole thing and attempt the whole process over again???

Now, wouldn't it be groovy if you could somehow select the whole thing in one fell swoop? perhaps (a) "selection prim/s"? a re-sizable "prim" who's only purpose is to select everything within it...

I thought you could by using the shift and your left mouse button and selecting the whole area/object - not clicking on each piece but holding the left button down and moving it so that an area is selected. This seems to work well for me - even gets prims inside of other prims too.

Just be careful that you don't select object far away owned by someone else. :) I tend to do that if I don't pay attention.

And always remember if you screw it up and miss some pieces - Ctrl-Z will save your sanity.

Provided you don't change what you have selected, Undo should put things as they were for another shot.
