With the bright shiney new llSetTextureAnim, I have seen people upoload incredibly high rez images in order to kame a decent movie. Unfortunately, they take some time to DL onto my viewer. In the not so distant future, it will be cool to make multi-scene animations, or even just slide shows where we could preload textures like we can sounds.
also, anyone know if llSetSoundRadius will set the radius for _any_ volume. as in if I set it to 30m, will everyone in 30 m hear a sound played at .1 at the same volume?

There is currently a work-around for the texture preload problem. Since the system that downloads the textures to the client doesn't do any visible object checking (it just downloads all textures in the range, whether visible or not) you can set a non-visible object (or side of an object) to the texture you want to preload, wait a minute, and then display it on the visible object. I have a pretty cool slide show object that does exactly this, it loads the next slide on the back side of the screen before it is displayed. You could do the same with your movie scenes.
As for the sound radius thing, I don't know, my guess is that dropoff still applies, but maybe dropoff starts at the radius, or maybe it is stretched so that it ends at the radius?
