Should LL interfere in the economy?

Just wondering what the thoughts are out there about how much LL should or should not interfere in the economy.

Seems to me either they should help stabilize the Lindex AND land prices, or they should stay out of both...I guess it's more tempting for them to stabilize the Lindex because they can make money off it, but by not stopping the inflation of land prices they sure do make it look like making money is their only reason for being in the lindex....

What are your thoughts?

I prefer to think of it as 'compensating against unscrupulous players', as it's quite clear there are a few problems in-game right now that need some serious work, fast, whilst we still have a Second Life to live.

As has been mentioned at length elsewhere, the landed gentry have reason to stay and pay tier. The current lack of land production is having economic effects. The two things that LL controls, land and money supply, are inextricably intertwined. They are involved in both, even in that lack of action is an action itself.

Neither of those variables are nearly as important to the continuance of SL than bug-fixes and scalability - which LL seems to have even less control over than land and money.

*looks around for several moments muttering "where is that lever"*

Found it ^_^

*pulls lever and thread disappears and reappears in feature suggestions*

When questions don't have distinct answers they enter the gray area of what is allowed in the RA forum.

Understood...in the future could you please click the "leave link in previous forum" box so that a poster can at least see that the thread has been moved rather than think it's been deleted? Even the Lindens do that in the Linden answers forum....

Then again I'm not sure this would fall under the headinf of "feature" either because LL has said that policy changes are not considered features....probably doesn't belong here either.

This is a dead-hardcore-stupid question.

Never leave it to bunch of strangers on internet. You already seen the result of hackers attacking SL. Imagine when Hackers can play with the economy... SL would be DEAD GONE by now if they were to open that up to public.

We all know LL want to keep SL alive....(duh?), best to leave it to them, not bunch of people who are might be... strangers / children-pretending-to-be-adults / bums / failure-at-math / anti-SL`ers / retards / terrorist / another-company-who-make-platform-similar-to-SL / misunderstood-SL-for-another-game-like-WoW.

This may seem like I'm trolling or flaming but... seriously, not a great idea for economy plan.
