its so way to dark at my time zone, i cant see a thing, can we get some lighting in these streets. thanks Melanie

Hello Melanie. Street lights would be cool, but you can also try these things:
First, press Ctrl+P to open the Preferences window, go to the Display tab and enable "Local Lighting". Things look quite different at night when you turn this on (if you don't have it already).
If that doesn't help, and you *really* need to make things brighter to see, you can force noon. Press Ctrl+Alt+D to make the "Debug" menu appear -- it shows up in the SL menu beside Help, but is normally hidden.
Then, press Alt+N to force noon. After about 10 seconds, the sun will pop to the noon position and everything will become daytime... until you next log in.
This only affects your own computer -- nobody else will see daylight.

There is a gamma control in the preferances too. I can't remember which tab it is on, but it will increse the overall brightness of the world.

WTF is C3PO supposed to be USEFUL for anyway, besides whining? Stupid piece of scrap metal would be more useful recycled as a toaster. But even that would suck, because who would want to listen to a whining wussy toaster? Is he gold plated? If that's the case he should just be melted down into gold ingots. Help the economy some, and stop being so damn useless you stupid bucket of bolts! R2 is 1,000 times more useful than your tin man ass, and he's shaped like a salt and pepper shaker FFS!

Automatic Streetlights can be created with a script. Jospy Pendragon has an awesome firework/light show that starts automatically at sunset. I think it would be nice if people created street lights in their nieghborhood. It deters crime |
