So. I've been thinking. While I was at work today, (of course not doing my job, like always) I was thinking about secondlife. And I had an idea.

What if a website expansion was added to the SecondLife website?
A website expansion including maybe a FLASH or Shockwave plug-in (just suggestions, I don't know much about either) that could be used for an external SecondLife connection. This part of the site would allow people to talk on SL IM, manage groups, return prims, check the land listings, search SL servers, and anything else that is TEXT based in SL. (Pretty much excluding building and anything involving visuals or 3D in SL)

The point to this would make easy access to SL essentials. If I had a mall, I could do group invites wherever I go and not arrive home at 8, finding out I had annoyed customers who were getting their objects returned. Or maybe I could respond to an important IM that someone needed me to do a quick job for them! Or clean up my land; maybe there was a greifer taking advantage of my time away from SL and decided to leave particles all over my land.

Examples and things such as those, and many more, I feel are good reasons for why this feature should be implemented. I know plenty of people would like to check in on their Second Life while they're away or maybe at work, but can't install Second Life on their nearest computer and check-in, so they have to wait until they got home.

If you would like to vote for this feature, please visit:

Thank you :)
