WHY are linden putting stupid messages up when you tp? All its done for me is annoy the hell out of me. You STILL cannot tp. Seems as though the lindens are working harder on making a joke of all of the problems within sl rather than actually trying to fix them. Dont you think its about time residents could tp and see friends list? I have to work in SL and it makes it extremely hard when I cant get to clients stores or even see if they are available. Im guessing this is causing major problems to all that use SL on a day to day basis. Lets just hope they get to actually fixing the problems next time instead of wasting their time. Just out of interest who actually would like the comments removed from the screen when you tp?

She's right. Those messages are unfunny, too close to the truth to be.
And they're unprofessional...

With all the issues atm i think this isnt even in the spirit of an April Fools instead of expending the energy and time to put the list together wouldnt that have been better spent on fixing the TP and prescence issues instead? It would be funny if it wasnt true !! Just my 2 cents worth

Well, I for one think they are funny, and fit with the day perfectly. In fact, I think they should be there all the time. Life, and Second Life, is much to important to take serious.... if you don't catch a smile or a laugh when you get the chance, then the stress will kill you. I do think that LL should put Beta on the front page though, and leave it there for a long time, like GMail has done. This is a work in progress - there will be issues and problems. If it was perfect, it wouldn't be your Second Life, it would be your After Life.

I'm incapable of doing more than one thing at a time so I can't see how anyone else can do either!!! I can't stand thinking that improving SL might take 30 seconds longer because someone put a funny joke on the teleport screen!!! Also I have no sense of humour and it makes me angry just thinking about other people smiling. I hate life and I hate jokes and I hate whimsy. I wish I lived in the film Metropolis!!!!

Some are not so funny.

I understand that its all in the spirit of April Fools day, but some are not so funny. When you get this comment 'Sl is logging you out...lol...only joking!' and then you crash. I find that frustrating. Happened to someone I know. And I assure you. They were not laughing about it. If lindens wish to spend their time coming up with smart comments to put on the screen thats their deal but personally I do not want to see them.

Yeah! The comments should go!! And Lindens shouldn't have names because that makes them almost like people!

I think they are hilarious. I'm glad someone at LL still has a sense of humor after all the crap whiners (myself included) put them through.

I enjoyed the messages a bit, and think they are fun. I would enjoy them a great deal better if SL wasn't so incredibly painful that I have decided to blow it off for the day. I just have no patience for the other crap that is going on because of SL's complete inability to scale, so I shall have to miss out a bit on the spirit of April Fool's day I guess.

They are great I loved them, teleported as often as I could to see as many as I could, because, I'm not having any problems teleporting or inventory, but it sems slightly laggier than normal and I can't run more than 2 chars at once. But the same 20 people from last month keep telling us SL is totally continually bjorked..........................

Actually, they are the textual equivalent of an easter egg, which makes them historically professional. Since the earliest days of programming, never mind 3D rendering, programmers have put small in-jokes into their code. Even to this day easter eggs can be found in virtually every major program written. Even chip designers etch pictures into the substrate.
I am too new to have realized they were only an April Fools joke, and only noticed them late in the day. I rather wish it were an ongoing thing.
And while I can speak for no one but myself, I am fairly certain that the "we cant teleport you..." line preceding an actual failure was not intended. The messages were random after all.

I loved them and had a good laugh over them.
I actually TPed for a minute or 15 between two spots to read as many as possible of them.
As someone already said... some people take things too serious.

I'm such a SL zombie I didn't even notice the messages. But then again I forgot to look to see what they would do for April Fool's Day.
