Can I propose for landowners to be able to ban attachments on their land that are over 4m³ or have a length, width, or height of over 3m? This is because they can block the view of any other avatar. Please go to https://secure-web2.secondlife.com/vote/ Proposal #2236 to vote on this. Iwana

While an interesting idea, it would not fly with dragons at all or mechs to that matter. I say no to this one.

Rather like MobVends, where one gets trapped in a lag-pool with people asking why it's so slow. "I don't know, dear, maybe it's your 500 prim hair and your 100-prim necklace and the bling you have glued to every part of your body?" Hee!

Exactly. I told the guy he was insane and should not care and do that modeling with a texture. I got some kind of responce about wanting more detail, which I think meant a 512x512 texture for the rivets. I forget. One of those things where you just don't want to know what someone is doing and just hope to god you never meet any of their creations.

Funny you should say that, once upon a time i made an automated testbed for prim torture where it made a range of torture spheres. Oh was it bad for rendering, 1331 tortured spheres you know. And that was only 3 parameters with 11 steps each. I was going to use them for something, never found a use for them, other then crashing sims. Did alot of prim torture that way, randomly filling in parameters. Came up with some really fun shapes (and got accused of enjoying crashing sims; though they could never prove anything ). Ah the good old days.

There's already a tool for this. If a property owner does not like what another resident is doing on their land, then said property owner can eject them and add their name to the parcel's ban list. The last thing SL needs is another way for property owners to erect more sweeping and arbitrary no-entry walls, particularly on the basis of avatar appearance. SL is already classist and socially stratified[1] as it is, it doesn't need more help in this regard. Virtual Jim Crow laws aren't the answer to real or imagined problems. [1] Judging by the semi-weekly "Let's limit/punish/ban x from doing/going y" threads. In 2005, basic users were up to blame for everything. The latest trend seems to have shifted to 'unverifieds' but its basically the same arguments.
