Since I have decided to be a Furniture Maker in SL, I have been thinking of how I could gain more business, especially when I'm stuck at work while everyone else is in-game playing.

I had this crazy idea about running a Webstore for people to purchase items from the Webstore and have them added into their game inventory.

Also it would be nice to have off-line creation ability for items. This way you could create objects no matter what time of the day it is, and then upload them to your inventory once in-game.

Finally, it would be nice to have the ability to view sections of the world from this website, and even give people the ability to purchase land without being in-game. This would be accomplished by a series of criteria searches that woul allow a user to search for "Public Land". in "X Area Type", with "X amount of adjacent free blocks". ie: I want to search for available Public Land in G Rated areas that have 10 blocks of land adjacent to one another so the selection could support a building. Once this area was "found" by the search process, a picture taken from the middle of the "found" area would be taken from above showing the proposed area in yellow and showing the surrounding area as well. If the user liked this "find", he/she would be gi8ven the opportunity to purchase this land in the webpage, and funds for his purchase would automatically be deducted from his online account, AND, a landmark would be added to his inventory so he could find his new place without much trouble.

I think being able to view sections of the world from the website would be really cool. We need the ability to actually script cameras. Like, we could set one face of a cube to record video, and then we could set up security cameras and stuff. Also, having live views of the Welcome Area and stuff on the website might be really cool.

As for the webstore, that could also be really cool.

I would utterly love the ability to script cameras, One could almost merge two far-away places using an IW video camera and a large 10x10 IW viewing screen. It should be expensive to do so however, because it would obviously take up ALOT of sim resources.

The feature would take alot to develop however. I think this would be something we could see post 1.5...
