High definition hands and feet

It seems that Second Life, much like its cousin MMORPGs lacks in graphic detail for hands and feet.

I can see why most MMORPGs don't waste graphical power or time with hands and feet, people play those titles for gaming, not for social or vanity.

However Second Life is all about you and your avatar. I'd love to wear rings on my hands, or even a toe. I might want to paint each nail a different color.

Hands are okay, they at least look decent. But feet really do stink (no pun) in SL. Their just a block.

If graphic power is a concern, it could always be an option to turn on or off in settings.


Suggestion: Better hands and feet control in SL

Get some shoes from J's, they come with pretty toes and toe rings!

But really, this is not necessary for the direction SL is going in. People sitting at round tables for virtual business meetings or hosting in world survey's for college classes could care less about the realism of their hands and feet.

LL should just cut off feet and hands. What are they good for anyways and probably only lead to adult activities and the creation of adult content.

Hands can lead to masturbation and THAT my friend is adult content because even the most PG of people do not masturbate. Especially not during virtual biz meetings and hosting virtual educational sessions.

Back on topic, the avatar mesh is long since due for a refresh. The whole thing. Metacarpal to parietal, clavicle to scapula. The ugly bone is connected to the axe bone, and mercy how they scare.

As a pinup pose maker, this would be a wonderful thing. I get so frustrated when I need the hands to do something they won't do.

I'm with the otters. Update the hands, the feet, and the whole avatar mesh. More attach points. Allow user created animations of facial expressions. Support more recent versions of Poser, and/or add support for animations created in other software.
