I just want it. It's hard to explain what our shop is with just a single line -- I want to be able to explain what's going on there -- point out specials -- whatever in that space.
Is there some way we could have a) more text space in that line or b) some kind of notecard text popup thingmajig (notice my adept techno-speak here!) that allows us to add more information in the "about" field for a parcel of land? Or maybe c) something I don't have the brain power to think up??
Thank you!
Zana

More fields for describing land would be good. I would like to see a price range field (maybe represented in dollar signs) that the owner could set to their judgement. A button next to the description field in the find box that said "notecard" would be similar to your idea. People could click that for more information, but if they are just browsing the find box, get a shorter description.

I also think the current land "description" is too short. Allowing a longer description and a keywords field would improve the reliability of the Find window.
As it is, I used up about half of my description space with keywords to make sure that my land would show up in the Find window.

You can type way beyond the space actual provided. Give it a try, you might already be able to write a longer description than you think you can. The longer description will show up in the "places" description, if you list it to be found. Is that what you mean?

Yes, the text will scroll horizontally as you type beyond the size of the text box, but I think the field only permits a certain number of characters. Fewer than 255? Very short anyway. For a description that is displayed in a large multi line text box in various places, it should have a multi-line text box for entering text and allow carriage returns.

I am suprised field are so small, esp if u pay the $30 fee for several lands, yet dont get great space to describe.
To get the best out of land FInd and all the Finds, my advice is drop all attempts at sentence and grammar in description of land under the $30 fee idea and just put single keywords only, they are the only thing that u can be found under, all the other words are no use to to you. It might not sound so nice and flowing but its way better for searches.

It's as if they PLANNED to let us right more. Just look at the size of the land description field in the Find window... We are only allowed to write in about 1/4 of that field! The rest is permanently empty!
(And the horizontal scrolling to edit that description sucks the big one. Just try editing the last word.)
