After all the furor over voice chat and ageplay, I think it's time to tackle an issue that has plagued SL for quite some time:
I propose that Linden Labs create a new forum header. I mean, maybe that's what SL residents used to look like, but, c'mon, thats the most butt-ugly group you could every hope for. Especially that guy on the left. I have to scroll my page up every time to put them off page, as I'm embarrased for anyone to see that and think that's what people in SL look like.
Perhaps there could be a contest, to see who can make the best forum header, and the prize could be having a help request answered, or something else of high value like that.
Edit: I'm more than willing to model for any header, IM me in world.

Hmm, I think I would have to agree. The picture of the guy on the left is scary, and the other ones look like newbies. Diversity and change is good though.

yes, they recently made new pictures for the front of the site. I think they should give the forums some of the same love. (even if deep down they fear and loathe the slime pit the forums have coalesced into.)

I would much rather they allow less than 3 letters in a search, allow more than 8 pages of new posts, and upgrade vBulletin which adds new features and speed.
I know it would increase the database load but it's as simple as splitting the database server to a dedicated server. |

The robot looks like a photoshopped composite too. Maybe Linden labs could delve into their vault and find out who the original people were, and have a reunion , with all the original people, but as they look now. That would be interesting... |
