Calling Card Options?

Several people on the forums have talked about dumping all of theirs out of inventory.

Calling Cards need to be revamped if they are going to stay in SL and be useful.

So how about making some calling card only functions?

Or making a simpler address book/listings?

How about instead of getting a card, the person is highlighted in a different color on the find people listings?

Have some sort of automatic folder creation for those who hate making folders and organizing but want tons of cards?

Give prizes for the person with the most 'Linden' cards?

Any ideas?

Calling Cards definitly need to be expanded on.

My only suggestion I can think of is more options for individual cards and/or groups. (like selective offline/online notifications)

I think the hardest part is thinking up stuff to add to Calling Cards. Maybe file transfers between people who have eachothers cards? Private voice chat between them?

Edit: Just saw the Busy Mode post, more Busy Mode options would be good too (Busy To All, Busy To Strangers, Busy To All But This Group), and also an Invisible mode for when you don't want anyone to know you're online. They could still see your avatar though of course.

Only the fact that it seems like an incredibly rude solution has kept me from dumping 500 or so cards of people i don't know, but honestly, it's sometimes lots easier to use the FIND than sifting through all the cards. I have the cards of all my group members in one folder and then the cards of Lindens in another - even though I only have cards from 23 Lindens it makes it a lot easier to bug them when I have a question. If we had the option of checking off a box on their profile or card, "NOTIFY ME IF THIS MEMBER IS LOGGED IN", the notifications could be greatly useful instead of being so much ignored spam.

I thought there was an option to turn off the notifications in the preferences?
I turned it off a while ago so I don't see them scrolling up all the time.
