HI Everyone, Just spent lots of time in the past few days on SL organizing the Calling Cards in my Inventory. I have folders now for Cancelled Friends (that I see often on SL) A-C D-I J-M N-Q R-S T-Z And then within in those, folders for each last name. Now when I get a new calling card I can drop it into one of the main files and then into its last name folder. I was finding that whenever I got a calling card, it was making a huge giant unwieldy list in my inventory. Has anyone else done something like this? or am I just weird? I would suggest some sort of feature in the future that organizes these for you, to make it easier to look for one. (and yes I work in a library in RL)

I have a similar system, fewer alpha folders though, with no last-name subfolders, and I go by firstname. You, for example, are in my A-F folder, being Camille.
The other ones I have are Lindens, Friends, Tan Residents and "Family"... though I never see any other Rands anymore. These are all named starting with * so they show up above the other folders in the listing.
The lastname idea is interesting, but I don't find myself thinking of people's last name usually so I went with first.

You have too much time on your hands. Nah, that's just jealousy talking.

Yep, I really think an organizing feature should be implimented... I hate having a cluttered inventory, but usually have to spend hours attempting to organise it a little bit.

I have seperate folders for each letter, i.e. A's, B's etc. and another for things that don't fit, like numbers... but then, I have a lot of cards .

Now you have to assign one for each last name like I did.

Another weird thing - they are listed by the AV's first name in your inventory, but if you are on the SL website in the Resident Life area and pull up the list of your calling card friends who are online, they come up in order by last name.

And there are at least three different time formats in use between the website and the game too. Consistency please!

Consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.
*run*
Actually, I agree with the request that we have format consistency when monkeying with time or avatar name ordering -- I don't mind so much what the chosen format is, as long as it's consistent.

It's like a hippo, but with less style and breeding.
