Text-To-Speech

I have used text to speech years ago in The Palace client for Mac os and recently in Mac OS X version of The Manor. Since text is already properly displayed it would be a simple matter to implement text-to-speech as a menu item toggle off or on and in the voices built into each operating system. Text to speech will really transform Second life and make it more life-like imo.

I endorse this feature, and have voted for it.

The beauty of it is that it preserves anonymity, while easing communication provided only 2 or 3 ppl are speaking. Best in a 1 to 1 situation, so maybe we should choose one avatar to speak, leaving the rest on the old text system.

Do ppl have experience of how it works with multiple speakers from other "games" ?
