Rarely do I post a bug that I've found; but tonight is a bit too much with the new interface and the update.

1. Please fix the camera; while building and trying to zoom in on an object, frequently you have to rotate the camera to the left or the right, then reposition it left or right to actually "see" the object. The camera position is sticking, truly sticking with the up arrow.

2. Please, oh please fix the reposition arrow indicator. Now on large, elongated objects, the reposition arrows are BELOW the actual viewing window. So far below that you have to turn off the task bar containing Chat/Events/etc., just to find it, and it's located so far away from the object that positioning using eyesight (I know, snap to grid) it's almost impossible to use. It's also underneath the online notification button! So basically to reposition a large object, you have to turn off online notification and remove the task bar from the bottom of your window.

3. Please relocate the online notification to where the event notifications are, with just a bold and/or highlighted area that is at the top, right-hand corner of the window. These online notifications are: a) removing chat while you are typing; b) removing from view any chat that is posted; c) interfering with the default location of the inventory window; and d) really interfering with building and selecting objects/textures and/or scripts.

Please try to make this interface less intrusive to daily use; and please, please fix the relocation (reposition or position) arrows from disappearing off the bottom of the screen!

I haven't had this problem yet, but it sounds messy. Just to let everyone know, supposedly Havoc 2 will somehow (?) improve the camera... This was mentioned in yesterdays meeting with Cory Linden.

Sorry I don't know much about this either, but maybe I can pass along a tip I just learned recently thanks to Tiger Crossing...

If you put your mouse pointer over the position / scale / rotation text boxes inside the edit window, and then rotate your mouse's scroll wheel (if you have one) up or down, it will also edit the values quite nicely this way.

Online notifications are a nuisence. Also at yesterday's meeting I've heard that a low priority feature planned for implementation is to selectively choose who you recieve notifications for, but that it could still be months away.

I definitely agree that these notifications need to be handled better. The problem I have most with them is that sometimes they happen so quickly that I dart my eyes over to see who just logged in, and before I can read it, another one pops up on top of that one.

I don't like the position either.

I wish there were an *option* (some people may like it the way it is now) to just put it back into the chat text area like it was pre-1.2.

For now, I'm working on a script that should be finished this weekend to help remedy the clunky online notification system. If it works out well, you'll be able to turn off online notifications in SL and still be able to rely on this script to inform you of *only* the people you've selected to be informed of when they log on / off.

I'll also be giving away a free and open-source object which you can place onto your property to indicate to visitors if you are online or not. I've got one more feature to add to it, do some bug testing, and then I'll be setting it to Free to Copy in my little shop in Aqua. I've got an example one there now, but it's not free to copy just yet, until I get it finished and tested.

BTW, if you want a closed-source pre-release copy of either of these to beta test, just send me an IM in game.
