Got a New Feature Request? Use the Second Life Issue Tracker!
Got a hot new feature idea? You can use our new Second Life Issue Tracker — be sure to do a search to see if your suggestion's already in there!

Be sure to read the instructions; then you can enter issues and vote for what interests you! Once logged in, you can view all issues by # of votes.

Over time, we'll be migrating to this from the older Feature Voting Tool, because it has better search and parallels the way we Lindens internally organize issues. However, it's still in beta, meaning we're still smoothing out the rough edges.

How do you see a list of just the feature suggestions?

Be sure to vote for VWR-68, my patches for fixing the negative number parsing bug in LSL. :) And SVC-22, for fixing the bug that makes aircraft pretty much impossible since 1.11 or so...

Given the amount of attention they paid to the last feature voting tool, I expect that this will be eminently rewarding.

Good thing they aren't spending their time re-inventing a wheel they already re-invented once.

Does anyone know how to see just the feature suggestions in the Jira tracking system?

I haven't spent much time at all with it, but it sure does seem ugly and hard to use as a way to make a feature suggestion.

I suspect that for the most part the number of bug reports, feature suggestions, etc. from non-geeks will be greatly reduced by the use of the Jira system.

Incidentally, one can make the sidebar go away by clicking on the link for Printable.

From: Torley Linden, I think
Public Issue Tracker
Use this to publicly report bugs and request new features. Community support helps us prioritize your requests!

The above is an additional clue that the old feature voting tool and this Feature Suggestion forum are things of the past, so far as getting suggestions heard by the Linden staff are concerned.

Also a sign that once again LL is confused, what is referred to above as Public Issue Tracker is referred to elsewhere as Second Life Issue Tracker.

PIT or SLIT, neither is as clear as "Bug Reports" or "Feature Suggestions".

Sigh.... discussing feature suggestions here is very simple and can be fun. Forums are like the mac is said to be; forums just work.

Be that as it may, I now bump my question:

Does anyone know how to see just the feature suggestions in the Second Life Issue Tracking system at http://jira.secondlife.com ?

On the left-hand-side is a little area labelled "Filter", just click "New" and you get a ton of filter options, pick new features and click view at the bottom and it should list only new features.

Thanks, Haravikk.

I find the interface a bit busy, and some of the fonts are hard to read.
