I said something about this in another thread, but i'm going to make a new one anyway. The new camera feature while sitting is driving me crazy Especially on Balloon Tours, the camera leaves my av everytime i turn. And i got tons of noobs asking me how to get the camera back so they can see. Mouselook helps but you can't select anything, and its still hard to see.

You can reset the camera by hitting mouselook twice (geting into mouselook then leaving it), but I agree, it would be nice to be able to 'return to AV'. Perhaps a return camera button.

I spend half my time at events trying to "see" what would have been easy to see in the past. I thought it was just me--resisting change and all that--but maybe not.

The "twice mouselook" resetting camera thing makes the interface seem inconsistent. I always have a feeling of unpredictability every time I change states between mouselook/not-mouselook and edit/not-edit.
The edit/non-edit state change drives me nuts. I want my third-person camera to stay where it is unless I move it or change focus, and even then when I change states again I want it to stay there.
I know the problem is that sometimes we get our camera into a bad angle that's hard to figure out, so if there were a keyboard command to reset the camera back to behind our AV's heads, I think it would make the feeling a lot more consistent and predictable than for the client software to predict what we want. =)
Thanks for reading =)

I'm not sure about the exact problem here (I'll have to take a balloon tour, maybe?) but have you tried hitting ESC? It will pull you out of mouselook and snap the camera to its default location behind you.
