We regularly hear of people having trouble logging in because their avatar got stuck in-world as a 'ghost'. One solution to this problem is to use an alt to log in and bump your ghost. The snag is that you might not always know where you were when the crash or bad logout occurred. By displaying region and co-ordinates of your last location on the login sgreen, you can note it down and then log your alt in to go and find the location. In addition, the same last location info could be included on one's account page on this SL website.

How would the viewer know what your last location is without first logging you in? If it keeps track of it across viewer sessions it's not necessarily accurate when you used a different puter to log in. --- Why not just grant your alt the "Show on Map" privilege?

The login screen gives you the option of logging in at your last location. If it can do that, it should be capable of displaying its co-ordinates too. Agreed, if you log in from a different computer or using a different viewer, the info would probably not be available. From: someone Why not just grant your alt the "Show on Map" privilege? True, but would that work for a 'ghost'? I know the green dot stays, but would it still connect with alt's 'show on map'?
