How about some improvements to editing scripts. I tend, like many, to edit them IN an object (for quick testing). Now I've lost 3+ hours of scripting because, low and behold, the script up and disappeared when I deleted an object that didn't even HAVE it in it (but was rez'd by the script).

Why are rez'd and copied (shift+drag) object's contents linked directly to the origininating contents, instead of making their own copies? :p Apparently this is the case with llRezObject as well(??)

Anyway, I"m so f'n pissed not even Einstein could calculate my fuggin pissed factor.

How about some Save, Save As, AND, this is key *Save to Harddrive* options with the editor.

Gonna have to code up an offline editor and use cut'n'paste until I put any faith back into scripting and testing in game.

Anywho, long as I'm on the topic:
using \" in the editor causes the editor to NOT ignore the quotation, and thus color the remainder of the script incorrectly. example (toss this in a script):
llWhisper(0,"Did I mention that I am \"unhappy?\"");
llWhisper(0,"Everything's green now! woo);

blah anyway pardon my grumble, but I'm mighty pissed off at losing a lot of work. I save like a mad-man when coding/scripting in other languages. But I've gotten VERY lax with "saving" in LSL because it's a chore to keep moving files around different directories in order to "save". Please please add some save functions :P

I, too.. have lost many hours of work. Most of it is up in my head.. however, a save feature would be rather USEFUL. And I don't meant the "save" that they currently have... that just saves to the object. A save to inventory or a save file would be great! Hell, you can do it with textures... simple enough making them notepad files or something.

Thanks for bringing this up, Boso!

For the more technically minded - the problem is actually NOT the asset server (or 'asshat' as you prefer to affectionately call it herein).
