Abuse Reporting

There should be some sort of follow up reply when members file an Abuse report. As it is now, we file the Abuse reports and never know if the report was even handled. If the person that sends the report in could get some sort of notification that the issue was handled and this was done due to the AV's Abuse then it would make sending the reports in more worth while..

I fully agree there does need to be some way of knowing what action was taken after you submit an AR.

Allegedly the last 25 Abuse Reports actioned appear on the Second Life website

but its very hit and miss, and you'll soon work out that either a lot don't actually get actioned, or very few of the G Team Lindens actually bother to write up their decision.

There doesn't seem to be any consistency with how the Abuse Reports are dealt with. Some of the Lindens are sh1t hot and thorough, others are very slap dash.

I do not want to see this, as it can be used as a target if the information was made available to the person I ar'd. so let's say I ar'd you and you got information on said ar. what would stop you from retaliating? Also there could be some residents who run around and ar'd certain people and then give that person information with slightly altered details in turn getting somebody else griefed.

Sending an abuse report is not about you. Sending an abuse report is a method of pointing out to Linden Lab that you believe someone is violating the TOS/CS and that they should give the situation attention. Beyond that, Linden Lab does not involve residents nor do they get involved in resident disputes. (^_^)

In response to your request to see a response or outcome of an AR, I ask why. What will you gain by getting confirmation that your report was acted upon? (^_^)

In fact, there are situations where you will get a response. I have had a number of times when I've ARed an avatar or object and the Linden came landing on my head or IMing me for more details. (^_^)

If the responding Linden has satisfied themselves that the TOS/CS has been violated, he/she acts accordingly and we, as residents, have no more role in the process. (^_^)y

I think that an e-mail or something to confirm an action was taken would be useful, as if the avatar in question continues griefing or whatever, then you don't know if you should be sending a follow-up report, or just waiting for the original one to be acted upon.

i agree we need a follow up on these.

i understand they dont wanna be dragged between residents disputes but hell... since over a month someone been harrassing me. she placed spy script in the place i hang out, sending notecards of IM conversations i did not have with her, and adding bullshit about my RL and other things.

she has been putting my SL a nightmare for over a month and i filled report abuse each time i witnessed a crime from her going against TOS as follow : use of spying script (SL TOS breach)

harrassment and disclosure.

yet after a month that person still here and keeping her deeds.

of course i muted that person. but that does not prevent her to send notecard to people i hang out with and to more with bullshit and all in order to make my life an hell. and the worse in all is i dont even know if Lindens looked into the matter at all. so yes at least a mail to tell us they did look through it woudl be nice. i dont care if they dont tell us what they did. just tell us they did something and would be nice.

after all they are fast to move and put fees that kill small buisness why not help people to actually enjoy the game they pay for
