Object Rating

Is it possible to implement some type of rating system for objects that are created? Much like the sim rating... if an object is explicitly made for a mature area, mark it mature and not allow it to be placed into a PG-Rated Sim.

Yesterday, at stage 4... a rather distracting thing happened while hosting an event. A women with a Dildo walked up... told her she should probably put it away, and her response was "It's a flashlight, I can't seem to turn it on right now - only vibrate." I personally don't take offense to any particular object, however -- it's rather annoying while trying to host an event or the like.

I really don't want to sound like I am griefing here -- but I think the idea should be taken under consideratetiong. I know that more and more acts of disrespect and lack of common sense will be comming.

Thanks You,

<IMHO>
The whole rating system is such a silly thing, for crying out loud, I wish they did away with it, I'm 23 and ALL the people I've met in SL are older than me. This game is just not aimed at children, and they explicitly state they prefer users above 18.
If you're the kind of person who is so easily offended that a phallic-looking virtual object in a virtual woman's hand is an important issue to you... I'm sorry, I don't want to insult anyone but I just don't think it's normal for people to think like that :|

I must agree eggy, virtual nakedness, or objects are sort of silly to be offended by. (and i'm a conservative for crying out loud).

But where i do see some room for offense is behaviour and perhaps pictures of real nudity and ludeness, both of which do occur in the mature areas.

I think it is those things that dictate the need for separation and since there is separation then virtual objects are subject to be ruled offensive too.

I do think its silly to be offended by stuff we've been bombarded by our whole lives though. There just isn't much that offends me i guess, but i do understand that some people really do get offended.

Guys... i didn't say that i took offense personally, I even stated that, but I think the point is somewhat overlooked when I throw out an example... MY BAD...

The point is, is that in certain areas some people chose to live in an enviroment were they won't feel harrassed or dictated by another's careless actions or obsene gestures. The rating system DOES exist and should be used the way it was intended (which it is for the most part of what I've seen). However... i am mereley suggesting that a simple rating system be put on objects whether or not they are suitable to be in a PG sim or not. That is it. It's not a matter of you being personally offended or not, some people DO get offended by it, and I take that into consideration. I truly hope that SOMEONE agrees with me...
