How about having an "e-mail" system on www.secondlife.com where we can send messages to the people on our friends list and then when one logs onto SL, there could be a feature that says "Show unread messages on login", that way we could even answer and send e-mails within SL, so everybody could stay in touch, even if we're on a computer that doesn't have SL installed, plus it would be great for those that have their IM's capped all the time.

Setting Send IMs to email works kinda the same way. And ppl can respond to the IM from email for like 3 or 4 days. I know what you saying though. I’d vote for it.

This is a great idea! It would probably attract more users in the way that Google and Yahoo! do by offering free to inexpensive email accounts. Maybe we our email addresses could be our SL screen names. For example, genkukumaki@secondlifemail.com

Haravikk.Mistral@secondlife.com would be pretty nice. Would be a good extra feature for premium accounts; a modest IMAP mailbox you can check on your home computer would be nice =)

I remember a feature that The Matrix online had that was really cool.. But of course Sony bought it from Monolith and they removed it lol.. But anyways, You could be playing the matrix, and talk to people that weren't in game through AOL instant messanger.. That was a really kick ass feature..
That would be a neat feature for SL to add... _____________________
