We should have the ability to pay around 10-15 US dollars to change our Avi's names, just like in RL. It would also be scripted with the function of posting comments to everyone on your friends list... perhaps as well as everyone in your groups.

In theory yes i agree, however with sl banking and various other things associated with your name in sl, it would be a complex matter... but in principle perhaps it can be considered. Further it would mean that a person could change at whim evading the lindens policing the system.. griefers etc. without any control over it at all... just a point...

No, not nessessarily as much of what is "name" based is actually based off UUID. ARs may list the name, but heck, if the griefer is willing to pay $10 every day to grief someone, then props to him (and the Lindens will know its the same guy anyway--after all they are the ones changing his name).

We should have a display name, when I put a mask on to be come a superhero or supervillian I don't really want my real name still above my head, and I would like a masked profile too stating all my superpowers etc  |
