Catogarize Friends List

This has probably been suggested before, but it would be so much easier if we were able to add catogories to our friends list. In other words, I could add family and move my hubby, sis and kids under it. I could add another one for my students and move all of them under that group. Then my friends list would be orderly and I wouldn't forget who someone was.

wow u must either have a poor memory, or A LOT of friends if you can't remember the important ones per your example.........Most of us use the little "notes" page on their profile if we have important info that we can't seem to remember about a person

Categorising the Friends list isn't necessarily about remembering who people are, it's about finding names, or sending out messages to groups of friends, easily.

This has been requested many many times before, but I've never seen any suggestion that it's something that's being worked on, unfortunately.

This is a good idea... I have having to scroll down a mile to see if someone is online that I want to talk to. Making cateogories would shorten up my list a lot. Also being able to hide offline peoples names would be a big plus too.
