Group Project voting boxes.

If there are a group of people building one thing would it be possible to have one voting box for all of them rather than having a whole bunch lined up in a row.

That's a great suggestion. I'll second it.

In the meantime, it can be done with one -- only one actual owner, of course, but since the voting results are posted to the forum with the sim name and exact co-ords of the booth, it wouldn't be difficult for the owner to simply split up that money between the other group members on a daily or weekly basis.

The reason this won't work is the same reason that people won't use the small voting booths, that is, they will get fewer votes.

The rule right now is 1 booth per property per person. If two people work on a project and have two booths, people will tend to hit both booths. 1 shared booth = half as many votes = less money.

Now, if the rule is changed to 1 booth per property period this will work, but people will complain, and it is often valid to have many things going on on a property, all of which deserve voting booths (I'm thinking of things like bp Jones' studio space).

Wednesday, I agree, but multiple booths on a property just look ugly. Even multiple mini booths.

Here's an addition to the suggestion for the proposed Group voting booth:

Have it set so that the main owner can add notecards to its inventory. Each notecard would simply have as its name, the name of one of the group members who is to benefit from the voting booth. When one of these group booths is clicked, it actually would apply one vote to Each group member who had a notecard in it.

Ok, there are much prettier ways to accomplish the same thing, but the above suggestion is a Quick way to implement it, with minimal time on the dev's part.

Yeah something like that would be good.

I didn't mean for the votes to be split up. If three people use the same booth and the booth has 10 votes they'd all get ten votes each.

I really don't know if this would work. For some projects alot of booths all over the place just won't look very good.

I just realized the note card idea would just be too easy to abuse.
If the owner could add the cards what to stop him from just adding friends names just to make them money. His friends do the same for him and next thing you know everyone is cheating the system for cash
