What do you think? (Consider this a charter?)

I would love that feature!

I'm the kind of guy that has a few object content items in his creations, and the bummer part about that is when I have to go through each object, and it's contents to change the "Next owner can" permissions on each item, only because I was too into creating the item to do it as I was going.

I always thought it would be nice if I could select 1 object, and be able to set the permissions of all it's prims and prim contents at once, instead of multiple dialogs, or having to select each link and pull up properties for each prim's contents, set the perms, etc.

Anyone agree with me, or am I just lazy?

It would be very useful, in Unix based OSes you can apply permissions and choose to apply them to the contents of a folder as well (if you were editing a folder at the time), which makes life a lot easier if you have to change the permissions of a folder containing a bazillion and one files.

As I went thru my inventory and set sculpt texture permission on over 120 different textures, I'd love this feature more and more! LoL

I'd love to see this future, don't like to set every img permissions. i'm a bit lazy :)

Having a shift sellect and change to all would be great in the new sl version.

Just wondering if I'm jumping the gun and not seeing some obvious reason that this isnt a good idea. Waits to see more input.

Maybe someone has a 3rd party application that will allow us to do this? Or maybe if LL finishes llSetInventoryPermMask and llSetObjectPermMask we can accomplish this ourselves.

Regardless, it's a real PITA to have to go thru all the permissions, set them full mod, deed the object to group, then reset the correct mods I want for next owner, then mark them for sale.

*sigh*
