It would be nice if content creators had the option to make something transferable, but only once. By that I mean, the person buys it or is given it by the content creator, and then can give it to a third person. But that third person cannot give it to anyone else.
This would be nice for gift-giving, or at least, would make it a lot simpler. I notice shops have a convoluted way of going about this now, like IM'ing them, etc. Just an idea.

That's already possible today though, if with the restriction that noone in between the buyer and the recipient can ever rez the box.
Next owner permisisons only "bake" in when something is rezzed (or taken back to inventory) so you can put C/NT items inside of a NC/T container simply by setting the permissions on it in inventory rather than when the object is rezzed.
When bought the item in inventory will appear to be no copy/transfer so it can be given away. Only when someone rezzes the box (to unpack everything) does the item turn no copy/no transfer (NC/T container with C/NT items inside) and the copy/no transfer gift can be unpacked.
(You can use the same process to create something that will appear to be C/T in inventory but where the actual items inside are C/NT. You can distribute a freebie that people can give away as many times as they like, but that can't be resold since everything turns no transfer when rezzed)

Or...you could invest in a gift booth. It grants the purchaser a gift card, which has full transfer permissions, you give it away, the second person rezzes it at the gift booth, and gets the product.
